A man who was previously charged with stalking Drew Barrymore has been arrested again, this time for breaking into a dressing room at New York Fashion Week and demanding to see Emma Watson.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Kings County court, Chad Michael Busto, originally from Washington, D.C., entered the backstage area of a high-profile fashion show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on September 8th. The filing highlights that Busto’s entry was unauthorized, and the event took place on a secure property to prevent intrusions.

Once backstage, law enforcement alleges that Busto entered a private dressing area and repeatedly demanded to see Emma Watson. He reportedly shouted at fashion show employees in the dressing room, insisting,

“I want to marry Emma Watson. Let me speak to Emma Watson. Let me take a photo with Emma Watson.”

Authorities have charged Busto with entering the event “with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm.” He now faces two counts of trespassing and two counts of disorderly conduct, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Following his arrest, NBC News reported that Busto was released under supervision.

It remains unclear how Busto gained access to the fashion event or whether Emma Watson was present. Watson has not made any public statements about the incident.

Prior to his attempt to locate Emma Watson, Busto failed to attend his appointment for an ankle monitor fitting. This requirement was imposed after his arrest in August for attempting to locate Drew Barrymore’s Long Island residence. At that time, police observed Busto going door-to-door while riding a bicycle and informing area residents that he was searching for Drew Barrymore’s home. He was charged with fourth-degree stalking, a class B misdemeanor.

Just three days before his most recent arrest, Busto disrupted an event at the 92nd Street Y in New York City where Drew Barrymore was speaking. During a discussion led by Barrymore and actor-singer Reneé Rapp about her latest album, Busto rushed the stage and demanded to speak to Barrymore, stating, “I’m Chad Michael Busto, you know who I am. I need to see you at some point while I’m here in New York.” Reneé Rapp quickly intervened, ensuring Barrymore’s safety and escorting her off the stage.

This week, Drew Barrymore faced criticism for her decision to continue production of her daytime talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” despite an ongoing writers’ strike. Due to the strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA), the show is unable to employ any WGA writers.
