Future Mind Labs, a startup pushing the boundaries of wearable technology, has initiated a crowdfunding campaign for their groundbreaking creation — the T-Shirt TV. This innovative garment combines the comfort of a classic tee with a built-in 10-inch screen capable of displaying various video content.
Creators highlight the versatility of the 10-inch display, which allows users to showcase favorite memes, clips, TikToks, or even NFTs. The T-Shirt TV supports six file formats: MP4, MOV, JPEG, WMV, AVI, and MKV, providing users with ample flexibility in content selection.
The functionality of the T-Shirt TV relies on a 5V power bank, which also serves as the connection point for smartphones, computers, or flash drives to upload files. The device boasts a battery life of 2-4 hours, extendable by swapping out the power bank. A pocket on the inside of the shirt conveniently holds the power bank, and it can also be attached to a belt for added flexibility.
Worried about washing a shirt with an integrated screen? Fear not! The display is detachable, allowing the shirt to be laundered like any other cotton garment. However, caution is advised when dealing with the screen — while it can endure a few raindrops, total water immersion could render it inoperable.
The T-Shirt TV is priced at $230, but early backers on Kickstarter can secure their own for as low as $149. The shirt comes in sizes ranging from S to XXL. The creators anticipate shipping orders in February, surpassing their crowdfunding goal by fivefold, marking a significant stride in merging technology with everyday apparel. The T-Shirt TV exemplifies how wearable tech continues to push the boundaries of innovation, seamlessly integrating screens into the fabric of our lives.
